Our Story
Stone Castle Vineyards and Winery is a story of rebirth and resilience. What began as a state-run winery in 1953 evolved into a symbol of Kosovo’s winemaking revival after its privatization in 2006. Under the vision of Rrustem Gecaj, a Kosovar-American entrepreneur, the winery was transformed—combining heritage with ambition to become the largest vineyard and wine producer in the country.
Nestled in the Rahovec Valley, our estate benefits from diverse microclimates and ideal soil conditions. Each bottle we produce is estate-grown and bottled on site, reflecting both the purity of our land and the passion of our people. From local roots to global reach, Stone Castle continues to grow with a single goal: to craft exceptional wines that tell Kosovo’s story to the world.
