Stone Castle Vineyards span 700 hectares (1,730 acres) in the sunlit hills of Rahovec Valley, rising from 330 to 550 meters (1,083 to 1,804 feet) above sea level.Beneath the vineyard lies one of Europe’s largest underground wine cellars, with a storage capacity exceeding 5 million liters (1.32 million gallons). Maintained at a constant 13–16°C (55–60°F), this expansive cellar allows our wines to mature slowly in Hungarian oak, developing depth, elegance, and the signature soul of Stone Castle.
A unique mix of clay-limestone soils across hilly and mountainous terrain provides ideal drainage and minerality, enriching every vine with character.

ManagementSoil & Water
At Stone Castle, sustainable soil and water management is at the heart of every vine we grow. With over 25 distinct soil types and naturally sloped terrain, we tailor cultivation practices to preserve biodiversity and ensure healthy root development. Our irrigation is minimal and strategic—supported by seasonal rainfall and careful water conservation—to protect the land and enhance the purity of every grape harvested.
ManagementEcosystem
Our vineyards thrive within a living landscape where vines, wildlife, and natural flora coexist in harmony. At Stone Castle, we foster biodiversity through cover cropping, natural pest control, and minimal intervention farming. By preserving the balance of our local ecosystem, we not only protect our environment but also enhance the vitality and authenticity of our wines.
